The NVF Road Traffic Safety working group brought together road safety professionals from across the Nordic countries for a two-day online seminar on 16–17 September 2026.
The seminar featured presentations and discussions on a range of current road traffic safety topics. The first day focused on motorcycle safety; both rider behaviour, infrastructure improvements, accident analysis, and emerging technologies were discussed. The second day addressed different road safety challenges across the Nordic countries, including presentations of accident statistics and e-scooter safety. We also had presentations of projects using self-reported crash data and discussed speed enforcement and its future.
The seminar provided an opportunity to share knowledge, experiences and perspectives across the Nordic countries and to discuss current issues in road traffic safety.
A sincere thank you to all the presenters for sharing their expertise and to everyone who participated in the discussions and contributed to the seminar!
