In Reykjavik an extensive transport treaty has been adopted as to increase public transport and cycling in the capital area. The treaty is also part of a national plan to reduce particle pollution and emissions of greenhouse gases. It provides a holistic approach to transport planning and aims to increase traffic safety and improve transport for all. A concrete case that is interesting for everyone involved in transport planning!
The session will be moderated by Margrét Silja Thorkelsdóttir and Valtyr Thorisson, Head of Transport Planning, The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration.
On stage, we’ll be joined by Sunna Björg Reynisdóttir, Kristján Árni Kristjánsson and Katrín Halldórsdóttir, Project managers, The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration and Thorsteinn R. Hermannsson, Director of Development, Transport for the Capital Area.
