collaboration between professionals in Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Norway, and
Sweden. A key part of this effort is to disseminate knowledge about the various aspects of the road
transport system from both content and application perspectives. Educational activities in training
and other knowledge dissemination within the field therefore play a crucial role in progress,
increased understanding, and encouraging engagement.
The Swedish NVF association annually awards, in connection with its annual meeting, a pedagogical
prize of SEK 25,000 to an individual or group, primarily active in Sweden, who has distinguished
themselves through pedagogical contributions within NVF’s field of activity.
Criteria
The prize is awarded to a person or group who distinguishes themselves according to the following criteria:
- Good knowledge and strong commitment within one or more of NVF’s areas of
expertise. The recipient is also well updated on the current research front in the field. - Recognised teaching skills and an interest in pedagogical development.
A scientific approach to learning, both in terms of the choice of pedagogical methods and in
anchoring educational content in scientific literature. The ability to adapt their pedagogical
contributions to the target group, regarding both subject content and teaching methods.
The ability to establish contact, encourage participation, and promote critical thinking. - Ability to apply a systems perspective to subject content, ensuring that the
knowledge developed is as socially relevant and reality-based as possible. - Ability to inspire increased collaboration both nationally and internationally and
to create engagement that leads to innovation and continued development of the road transport sector.
If you would like to nominate someone whom you believe should receive NVF’s Pedagogical Prize,
please send your nomination to nvf@vti.se no later than 15 December 2025.
In your nomination, describe why you think the person you are nominating should receive the prize and
how they distinguish themselves with regard to the four criteria: good knowledge, recognised teaching
skills, ability to apply a systems perspective, and ability to inspire increased collaboration.
