We are pleased to announce that the next NVF Working Group Tunnels meeting will be held in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, from 8th to 10th September 2025.
Below you’ll find the preliminary program and practical details regarding registration and accommodation.

🗓️ Preliminary Program

8 September – Arrival

  • Arrival at Vágar Airport (FAE)
  • Optional informal evening event (subject to sufficient early arrivals)

9 September – Meeting & Seminar

  • 08:30–16:00: Workgroup Meeting & Presentation/Seminar
    (Open to local stakeholders)
  • 19:00: Group Dinner

10 September – Technical Tour

  • 08:30–13:00: Bus tour ending at Vágar Airport
    Stops include:

    • 08:30 – Departure from Hotel Hafnia
    • 09:15 – Visit to Dalstunnelen (Landsverk project)
    • 10:20 – Pumping station at Sandoyartunnelen
    • 10:45 – Húsareynstunnelen (municipal tunnel)
    • 11:15 – Pumping station at Eysturoyartunnelen
      (Lunch provided as lunchboxes)
    • 12:00 – Transfer to Vágar Airport with additional brief stops

💰 Participation & Costs

The NVF Board in the Faroe Islands will sponsor the event, covering:

  • The meeting fee
  • The dinner on 9th September
  • The guided technical tour on 10th September

Participants are responsible for covering:

  • Flight expenses
  • Shuttle transportation
  • Hotel room and breakfast
  • Meals on 8 September

🏨 Accommodation – Hotel Hafnia

The meeting venue, Hotel Hafnia, is located in central Tórshavn.
20 rooms have been reserved for 8–10 September 2025 (2 nights).

Room Rates

  • Double Room: 798 DKK per night
  • Single Room: 650 DKK per night
  • Breakfast: 189 DKK per day (optional)
