Strategy

NVF aims to develop the road and transport sector in the Nordic countries. The work in the NVF takes place in the working groups, where professionals across Nordic countries co-operate.

The role of the NVF is to exchange information, knowledge, experience, and best practices among the Nordic countries.

VerdensmålStrategy for the period 2024–2028

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the strategic basis of the NVF during the period 2024–2028. The SDGs were adopted by the UN General Assembly on 25th September 2015. The 17 Global Goals provide a common global framework for sustainable development towards 2030. The framework balances the three dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social, and environmental.

The NVF wants to contribute to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. To make the work operational, all the working groups will identify 1–2 suitable and relevant SDGs for their work. To make the work visible, the working groups will include the goals to their annual report to the Board.

To support the working group’s work with these efforts, a kick-off event is organized in the autumn 2024. At the kick-off event there will be an introduction to the SDGs and information on how the update and reporting can be organized and designed.

With this strategy, NVF focuses on developing the road and transport sector in a sustainable direction that reflects the members’ wishes and needs for knowledge sharing and exchange of experience. NVF’s member companies support the strategy by actively participating in the working groups.

The strategy is valid from 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2028.
