🚴‍♀️ Towards increased cycling on a city, regional and national level 🚴

Copenhagen has several times been ranked as the world’s best city for cycling, and deservedly so, as 26 % of all trips in the city is by bicycle and the city has an extremely well-developed bicycle infrastructure. Since the Via Nordica 2024 Congress takes place in Copenhagen, it only makes sense to have a session on cycling as an important mode of transport. You’ll learn about Cycle Superhighways in Denmark, strategies for green mobility and the 10-minute city in Lillehammer, Norway, and mobility planning through cycling data. The session won’t just be focusing on cycling in Denmark, as it also includes presentations from other Nordic countries.

The session will be moderated by Jonas Wamsler, Specialist Consultant, The Danish Road Directorate

Speakers:  Anna Dinesen, Academic specialist, Danish Centre for Cycling Knowledge at The Danish Road Directorate; Gunhild Stugaard, Head of the planning department, and Lieneke Bekkema, Planning advisor and project leader, City of Lillehammer, Norway; Signe Møller Strandvig, Head of Office, Cycle Superhighways in Central Region Denmark
